Senior QA Engineer

The Senior QA Engineer ensures the quality, functionality, and reliability of software products by leading systematic testing and validation efforts. This role identifies bugs before launch to protect the user experience and uphold high standards in software delivery. The position also involves mentoring and managing a team of QA Engineers.

What you’ll be doing

• Test Planning & Design: Develop detailed test plans and cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.
• Test Automation: Write and implement automation scripts (e.g., Selenium), integrating them into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) to streamline testing.
• Manual Testing: Conduct manual testing where needed—such as exploratory, usability, and regression testing—for comprehensive test coverage.
• Defect Tracking: Document and track software defects using tools like Jira, and collaborate with developers to resolve and verify bug fixes.
• Continuous Improvement: Propose enhancements to QA processes, explore new testing tools and methodologies, and contribute to BDD framework adoption.
• Leadership: Mentor QA Engineers, guide test strategy, and contribute to a high-performing quality assurance culture.

What you need

• At least 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Advanced expertise in test management, bug tracking, and QA methodologies.
• Proficiency in Integration and API testing; tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• Strong knowledge of database scripting and Agile/Scrum practices.
• Skilled in both automation and manual testing across a range of software systems.
